How to Learn Spanish Rapidly

By Renaldo Kaufman

Some times it is necessary to learn the Spanish language very rapidly - for example, if you need to travel to the country at short notice, for business, visiting family or for a wide variety of other reasons.

Lucky, it is very easy to learn Spanish rapidly. Basic phrases and words can be picked up quickly, and there are many words which sound similar to their English equivalents.

First and foremost, I recommend checking out some free language information sites such as wikitravel.org or wikibooks.org. These sites are free for anyone to edit or add to, which means you have the help and advice of potentially hundreds - or even thousands - of other people. This includes many fluent and even native Spanish speakers.

Another option available to you is to find a tutor who can provide you with an intensive course. This means that you will visit him or her for a few hours every day for a set length of time - generally a week or a month. Intensive courses such as this can be expensive, but are probably the best way to learn Spanish rapidly. Schedule your intensive course for just before you leave for Spain, as that way all the knowledge will be fresh in your mind. Your tutor may set you "homework" - things to learn and practice before your next lesson to ensure that you remember the material.

Of the options available to you, I'd recommend a personal tutor - but the expense can be too much for some people. In this case, an online course will be a better option, as you pay one low price for the entire course, and can work through it as quickly as you want.

Renaldo Kaufman provides a free language learning course to help anyone learn a new language, regardless of experience or budget.
